The Owner/Operator & Skipper
Russ is a former Royal Navy Leading Seaman Ops Branch, Falklands War Veteran and Police Sergeant with extensive experience working in the marine environment. He is an RYA/MCA Commercially Endorsed Yacht Master Offshore & Advanced Power Boat Skipper, RYA Advanced Power Boat Instructor and RYA Shorebased Instructor VHF SRC Assessor. He also holds RYA Yachtmaster Theory, Dinghy and Safety Boat Certificates. He has been a full 9 year term served Fowey Harbour Commissioner & Fowey Licenced Boatman.
On completing 30 years service with Devon & Cornwall Police he returned in the voluntary role of Marine Special Constable 10 years ago and when "BOB" is wearing a blue ensign she is being utilised for this role. He is also a volunteer and ship visitor at The Mission to Seafarers in Fowey. Russ was awarded a British Empire Medal in the HM The Queen's Birthday Honours 2018 for Services to Policing and the Community.
